Satyam plans to expand in China as the cost rises in Software Development India

According to a report and a survey IT services from the house of India are getting more and more expensive day by day. Country has lots of success in the field of Information Technology and also has lots of IT brand names such as Wipro, TCS (Tata Consultancy Services), Satyam and many more. But now the companies from the house of India are on the way to shift to some other destination as they are finding their own country expensive. Satyam plans to expand in China as the cost rises in Software Development India. Company just announced this news on 1st March that they have selected Offshore Software Development destination for their IT expansion. Company is planning to expand in the local market of China and hire qualified and talented manpower for its global business.

Software Development India is getting expensiveCompany declared that it is introducing operations and productions in Guangzhou, China. In the initial stages the new development center in the city would be relatively smaller than they have their operations in Software Development India. This center would focus on the southern China market. Company is on the way for IT Outsourcing to China. Satyam is also planning a large software development site in one of the second-tier cities of the country. Satyam is intending to utilize the planned software development campus as the base to aim global clients. The main reason behind this move of the company is that they are finding the Software Development India is getting expensive, stated by one of the senior person from the company.

Though Satyam has set up operations and plants in Malaysia and has also hired hundreds of employees locally, but China is one of the few destinations globally where the company could employ qualified and talented software developers in big numbers. Though the company has refused to give the exact figure that how many people would be employed but they also indicated that this opportunity would be in multiples of thousands over the next two to three years time period.

At present company have around 270 employees in China and among 250 of them are employed at a large Software Development Center in city Shanghai, China. Satyam also has a workplace in Beijing and a small software development process in Dalian, China. In all these offices around 96% of the company's staffs are local. Company is unlikely to develop in Shanghai because employee costs in the city have been rising similar to the scenario with Software Development India.

China is rising as an alternative location to India for IT Outsourcing. Company stated that by all these functions done by the company in China, they would definitely get reward in the near future as the China has lots of talents for IT services. Software Development India has very little choice but to expand in China as employees pay scales are increasing in the country.

India's second largest IT Outsourcing company, Infosys Technologies, declared in August last year that their company was increasing employees in China from 250 to around 6,000 over the time period of next five years because of the cost rises in Software Development India.
