EDS to launch Software Outsourcing centers in China

According to the latest news EDS to launch Software Outsourcing centers in China in short while. Company EDS (Electronic Date Services) has just announced that they are planning to launch at least two Offshore Software Development center in China. Company is also planning to hire around 2,000 skilled labor forces in China over the next two years time period. All these information were announced by the company spokesman. EDS also has good presence in India for IT services and now planning to move further in China for Software Outsourcing services. Though company EDS is really doing well and earning good profit margin here in India.

The spoke person of the company announced in Hong Kong that China is a strategic growth market place for their company in both areas, say regionally and globally. Company will have good growth chances here as it has in India. Company would also expect to do well in China same as India. Though, company already has its presence in China for IT services globally and now it is further expanding its presence in China for the same purpose. Company is now moving ahead with some big planning and rapid moves in China.

Software Outsourcing center

EDS previously this year shifted its Asian headquarters to Shanghai from Australia. Now company is in the progression of recognizing locations in the country China for two to three Software Outsourcing centers. These IT centers in China, called Global Delivery Centers, will propose a range of IT Outsourcing services and development facilities and hosting services, for international and Chinese clients. Company will also give more attention over the quality of the services and products.

The spoke person of the company said that they are planning to launch the first Software Outsourcing center with this year in China as EDS already has similar facilities and services in Malaysia and India for a long. So it would not be that much challenging task for the company to establish IT Outsourcing center here. As far as staffing these centers is concerned, company is planning to hire further 2,000 employees within newt two years. Company at present employs staff of 100 employees in China.

As far as China is concerned, it also has long been a center for low-cost manufacturing service providers same as India. Gradually it is also becoming one of the most important Software Outsourcing centers as well. This is one of the reasons that company has planned to expand its presence further in the country. Last month only Unisys launched an Offshore Software Development center in Shanghai. This unit would propose a range of services, including software development. Unisys is also planning to strengthen its presence in China by adding more staff over the next three years of time period.

EDS and other IT companies are really now shifting towards China for IT services. No doubt China is also becoming perfect place for IT services, but still it will take time for the country to compete with India for Software Outsourcing.
