Symantec launches R&D Center for Software Development in Pune

The recent news suggests that “Symantec launches R&D Center for Software Development in Pune” to expand their presence and services in India. The company has launched its new research and development center to strengthen its quality of the services as well as for some new research work and services. This new plant is expanded over five acres in Baner, Pune. This plant of the company will definitely strengthen its purpose of Software Outsourcing India. Company already has its Software Development plant in India and their Research & Development plant in Pune will strengthen its strength in and presence in India.

As far as this development plant is concerned, the first phase of the capability has the volume for around 650 IT professionals and manpower. It would also include the IT engineers from Symantec's Research & Development, IT and technical support and service teams in Pune, India. This all work will take place in the first phase. In the second phase of the development of the plant, due to be completed by the end of the year 2006, will then contain the strength of more than 1,500 developers and engineers with plans to increase further into the future development and expansion.
