Esquire commences Offshore Outsourcing development center in Chennai, India for IT development and services. This unit will primarily concentrate on Banking Technology practice and issues, for customers situated in the Middle East and India region. Company just announced on 7th may 2006 for the induction of its first Offshore Development Unit in India.

CEO of the company stated on Sunday 7th May 2006 that the company is intended to focus mainly on Banking Technology practice and services. He also gave brief idea about the structure of the center. This center will initially have the presence of 150 IT developers to begin with and full capacity in the next two weeks time period. Another 300 employee to handle the assignments and projects would be added once the office will be fully operated and it would be done by the time period of next quarter. He also indicated that company also planned to establish an office in Kuala Lumpur during the time duration of third quarter of 2006, apart from one capability in Bangalore.

Offshore Outsourcing Development Purpose

He further added that for this Offshore Outsourcing Development Purpose, company would be adding another 20, 000 sq. ft. as soon as possible and another 15, 000 when the company would add another staff of 300 during the next quarter. According to him this Offshore Development Center would cost the company about Rs 15 crore. With the help of this Offshore Outsourcing Center Company is trying to concentrate more on banking sector more in India.

Company already has its presence in United States and Middle East Markets and this Offshore Outsourcing Center is a part of company’s consolidating operations in India. Though, the decision to have the first unit in Chennai in stead of Bangalore is due to the capability of Chennai to produce first-rate and excellent Information Technology professionals for Offshore Development purpose. Chennai seems to have more facilities for company’s requirement than Bangalore.

With the commencement of this center company would be, for the first time implementing the Extended Software Development Facility and service, whereas the customers of the company will also be engaged in running the off-shoring facilities and services. The approach of the company with this Offshore Outsourcing Unit is typically onsite, or the 'small project implementation factory,' approach or the bigger level development unit model that has seen high rates of acceptances due to its easiness of implementation and management facilities and services.
