Hexaware to launch third Software Development Center

Hexaware is to launch third Software Development Center in Puna announced by the spoke person of the company. Company already has its vast presence in India for IT Outsourcing and development services. Their growth in India is really remarkable and with the increasing demand of the company, they have decided to launch the third Software Development center in the country. This new development center will offer services in ERP-PeopleSoft and Oracle, Java Technology, .Net Technology, Testing and product lifecycle management (PLM) and in many other areas. As the Software Development India is on boom for such services, company has decided to get expansion in this field also.

Company Hexaware is basically offers Information Technology and BPO services to their global clients. Company already has two centers for these services in India and now it is planning to move forward in the development field. It is the Hexaware’s third development unit in India. The other two centers are in Mumbai and Chennai in India. The new development unit will offer services in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) to their global clients. It would include – PeopleSoft and Oracle, development in .Net & Java languages, Testing and product lifecycle management (PLM) and some other IT services.

Software Development Unit

Currently the new Software Development unit in Puna can support 250 software developers and professionals. According to the spoke person of the company, they want to enlarge the IT Outsourcing unit in Puna as a full-fledged campus just like their other center in Chennai. Unit of the company in Chennai is doing well. There the initial stage would be prepared by 2007 and can employee 3000 professionals and talented IT programmers. The campus area covers 27 acres ground and will be able to sustain 10,000-11,000 manpower in it, according to the spoke person of the company.

He also added that Hexaware plans to have campuses in Puna and Bombay (Mumbai) followed by tier two cities in the regions of North-east and South of India. The company aims to expand the manpower strength from 4124 professionals to 5000 by the end of year 2006. Company currently is working on this plant on full fledge for the Software Development Center to be ready for the operation soon. At present company has invested $20 million in their Chennai plant in the initial phases for the project. Hexaware is also planning to spend the same amount per year in their other two centers in Mumbai and Puna for better infrastructure and service facilities for IT Outsourcing. Hexaware is also planning to commence a BPO services in Puna soon.

The new Software Development unit falls in line with company’s growth strategy for IT Outsourcing services in India. Company has been occupied in the progress of some wide projects globally that would influence the common man. One of company’s core forces is also to develop novel business resolutions and this requires special skill and ability sets and offers challenging prospects to software developers in India.

This Software Development Center will strengthen the presence of Hexaware in India in many ways.
