Offshore Outsourcing market of United States to expand 20 percent

The latest news and survey suggest that Offshore Outsourcing market of United States to expand 20 percent annually. This growth will be because of the rapid growth and high frequency in sending the development job work to the overseas destinations like India, China and others. Though, this expansion is expected to happen by 2008 and an average entrepreneur would ultimately be dealing through Offshore Outsourcing 60% of development and application job work to the overseas locations. According to the report the frequency of taking help for development work of local companies are increasing rapidly and amount of sending the job work overseas is also increasing.

The survey also suggests that by the time of next year most of the Information Technology companies would have an Offshore Software Development strategy in one or the other way. Almost all companies would have started to take help of the overseas services provider as far as Information Technology industry is concerned. Most of the companies from United States are at present dealing with India and China. Even IT giants from US also have their vast presence in India for Offshore Outsourcing services.

Offshore Outsourcing Services

Because of the heavy IT Outsourcing from the country, the vendors are now concentrating on “Portfolio Optimization”. But their strategy doesn’t seem to be working as an alternative global approach and more work is being sent overseas for development and other purpose. The main factor is the higher development cost of the local vendor or service provider in the country. The same development services would cost the US companies almost four to five time lower in India or China. So companies are more interested and heavily participating in Offshore Outsourcing services to India.

It is also marked that overseas service provider from India and China are more discipline and provide same or higher quality services with the lower development cost. Many service providers from these countries are now accounting for more than 1 billion USD business annually. In these countries total market is more than USD 50 billion according to the report.

Offshore Outsourcing service provides access to global resources otherwise unavailable to most ventures. This reduces that cost by almost 30% that normally goes into application development and maintenance expenses. Though, these Offshore Development services do open up some of the additional risks and newer challenges for the companies. But this risk seems to be manageable with some extra efforts. The process of sending the development job work is really very much useful to the IT companies in USA for many reasons.

In short the above discussion suggests that there will be a definite rapid growth in the process of Offshore Outsourcing not only in IT sector but in almost all the industries.
