In current competitive and expensive market scenario it looks like that UK Software Development Industry is in dilemma. The experts arises the questions that will UK still have a software industry in 10 years time period from here? UK seems to be too much costly for Information Technology Services. Most of the local IT companies are now taking the development help for the overseas services providers or IT vendors. The development cost in the country is very high and because of this only there seems to be big migration of the Software Development companies to the IT Outsourcing countries like India and China for the development purpose.

Just a few days back a survey was conducted in the country regarding the IT industry and growth in the country. The out come of the survey clearly indicates that most of the IT companies are now shifting their development job work to the overseas location like India, China and many more for lower development and better quality services. These IT companies are gaining good quality development work from overseas vendors with far more lower prices. Still the experts suggest that UK IT Industry will survive in spite of this overseas migration.

Survey also indicates that the companies that have started to take help of IT Outsourcing Services will be back to the country soon as lots of changes are taking place in the country in Software Development Industry. 78% Experts says that UK Software Development Industry will continue and stay alive in spite of heave Offshore Development Services. Still they say that the future of this industry shows bit smaller picture of the industry compared to the current industry picture and it will be surrounded by more specialists’ services and facilities also.

According to the experts the future picture indicates that there will be Software Development Industry in the country but it will be considerably reduced in scale and size compared to other countries. Country UK will focus on Niche Development services and facilities to the globe. The industry will provide modified products and services to the globe. However, the mass of general Software Development Services and trend will end up IT Outsourcing, according to the experts.

Experts also suggest that it is but obvious that the coding will shift as a part of Offshore Development. They also believe that it is far cheaper in India and China than the local one. IT Companies can also have a hand around the good talented technology professionals along with the hand on the latest technology. But the internal and management tasks of the companies will not be offshored. Still many believe that the IT Outsourcing cost will also rise in the near future.

According to the experts, no doubt at present IT Companies from the country are shifting towards IT Outsourcing services but they will definitely come back to on-shore as the Software Development cost will rise overseas and companies will not gain that much benefit from it.
