In the current market scenario Software Development companies are in competition for developers. Global IT Outsourcing players are aspiring to employ new developers while mid-size IT Companies are trying to retain men power with big pay jumps. India one of the leading most IT Outsourcing country also seems to face the shortage of IT talents. Industries like BPO (Business Process Outsourcing) and call centers are also on boom in India along with IT Industry. So the mid-size industry players are trying to sustain their man power strength by offering them higher pay jumps.

Companies are now also feeling pinch of large salary hikes in the last few months, with major players like IBM and others have also started to hire talents rapidly. Because of the higher hiring process from the big brand names like IBM, TCS, Microsoft and many more mid-size industries are under pressure to retain their strength so they have started to offer higher salaries to their employees. The scenario is clear that demand in the current market is more than supply.

Software Development cost in the market is also on the rise over the last few months. Along with this the salary for the entry level software engineer has also gone up by much difference. In India salary rise is increasing and the salary difference between the cities like Bangalore and Kolkata and Hyderabad is rapidly narrowing down. Software Development companies here are almost paying the same salaries that software developers are getting at the places like Bangalore.

Entrance of newer IT Outsourcing companies in India has also hiked the salaries of the developers. Such companies are offering higher packages to the developer that leads the existing companies to either increase the salary of the employees or to loose them. Such new entrances are posing challenges to the existing companies by pushing up the salaries of the employees.
